Protections to consider

According to your professional and family situation, we would recommend that you prioritize coverage as follows:

Prescription Drug Insurance
To meet the requirements of Quebec's Act Respecting Prescription Drug Insurance

As a CPA member under 65 years of age, even if retired, you are not eligible for coverage under the Public Prescription Drug Insurance plan. If you do not have access to a group insurance plan through your spouse, you must sign up for coverage under the plan sponsored by the OCPAQ, for both you and your dependents.

To meet the Act's requirements, you must sign up, at a minimum, for the basic plan.

Depending on your needs and the sum you are willing to allocate, you can also obtain, without having to provide proof of good health, optional coverage including the full plan in health insurance as well as dental insurance, provided your enrolment form is received in our offices within 31 days of the termination of your previous group coverage.

Life Insurance
Protect your loved ones

Having accumulated sufficient capital to provide for your retirement, it is important to protect your estate and the people you love in the event of your premature death. The insured amount should be sufficient to cover any outstanding debt and your funeral costs and allow any remaining dependents to maintain their standard of living.

Determining the amount of coverage required is not a simple task and it can be difficult to find one's way through the numerous types of life insurance available. One of our experts will gladly help you determine the right amount and the right product!

Critical illness Insurance
To reduce the financial pressure

The additional expenses incurred during a major illness could force you to use your retirement savings.

Critical Illness Insurance's lump-sum payment, which can be spent as you choose, allows you to better absorb costs related to your condition.

Critical Illness Insurance, available up to age 65, ensures that the stress of a serious disease isn't compounded by a financial one.
